Cleaning and sanitizing of public restrooms is an important problem worldwide, which has not found yet an optimal solution. Cleaning means removing the visible dirt from all surfaces, while sanitizing means removing not only visible dirt, but also invisible elements like bacteria, which can be responsible for disease transmission. This means that even after cleaning, a truly clean washroomshould be periodically sanitized.

systems for cleaning and sanitizing public restrooms of any type and size.
Using specifically designed
machines, in addition to traditional manual equipment, cleaning operators are
able to completely clean and sanitize environments ina short time,
with excellent and granted results. It is finally possible to reach a
higher level in restroom's hygiene, increase productivity and have a higher
fulfilment of the cleaning operators.
Specific systems and machines have been developed by Santoemma, in order to better suit any area, according to the type and dimensions of the restrooms to be cleaned and to their optimal cleaning and sanitizing plan.
Santoemma
machines can be used for cleaning and periodic sanitizing of environments, with
more or less frequent, even daily, interventions.
Santoemma machines can be used in conjunction with manual
equipment in 2 modes:
Complete
cleaning and sanitization of surfaces:
The operator performs deepl cleaning interventions using the
machine on a regular basis. After these interventions, the toilets return
clean, sanitized, dry and scented.
Rapid
sanitization of previously cleaned rooms:
The operator performs daily maintenance cleaning using hand
equipment, once or several times a day. The operator may then use the machine to
quickly sanitize the newly cleaned rooms.
The two modes can be used with the most appropriate frequency, according to the specific needs.

Santoemma developed the following technologies, which allow to provide a "tailor made" solution for any situation:
The Powertec system, patented by Santoemma, allows you to use a single machine to spray a detergent and sanitizing fluid foam onto all the surfaces, rinse them after few minutes and finally vacuum all the residual liquid from floor, leaving the environment clean, sanitized and dry.
The fluid foam sprayed by the Powertec models covers all surfaces in white, with a thin foam layer that can be rinsed off quickly. This system uses little water and is suitable for frequent cleaning and sanitization of restroom.
The cleaning process is carried out through four stages:
Spraying of foam on all the surfaces to be cleaned (walls, sanitary fixtures, showers and panes),
Chemical action against dirt and bacteria,
Rinsing with clean water,
Floor washing with injection-extraction system.
Two models are available: Powertec30 (cable powered) and Powertec30-Battery (battery powered).
The manual gun allows you to spray fluid foam and to
rinse surfaces with clean water.
The special wand included allows you to clean hard floors with the injection-extraction system: a chemical solution is sprayed on the floor and vacuumed. The dirt detached from the floor is completely removed thanks to the powerful vacuum and collected in the recovery tank.
In few second the floor gets perfectly dry and with no effort. It is possible to inject and vacuum simultaneously, or to inject, brush and then vacuum. A specific bristle on the vacuum head allows you to brush efficiently very dirty floors.
It is not necessary to manually dose the chemical, because the machine automatically picks up the right quantity of chemical from the chemical tank and mixes it with clean water, taken from the water tank.The chemical is always used in the correct quantity and never wasted.
The Powertec models allow a sanitizing chemical to be
nebulized to quickly sanitize previously cleaned surfaces and
environments. It is possible to use two
nebulization systems:
a) nebulization@100micron - for surfaces
b) turbo-nebulization@50micron - for surfaces and
environments
Nebulization@100micron
With a specific manual gun it is possible to nebulize a sanitizing chemical in the form of a liquid solution in 100 micron particles. With the nebulization at 100 micron the particles deposit evenly on the surfaces wetting them slightly and after a few minutes the particles evaporate, leaving the surfaces dry. In this way the chemical is able to act for the necessary time to carry out its sanitizing action. This is the ideal solution to quickly sanitize all washable surfaces.
Turbo-nebulization@50micron
With the special gun for turbo-nebulization@50micron it is possible to deliver
a mixture of air and very fine particles of pure sanitizing product with a diameter of only 50micron.
Their small size allows the particles to remain in suspension in the sanitizing air jet, which can reach points 4 meters away from the operator. By directing the jet appropriately, it can easily reach every point in the room and saturate small rooms quickly and evenly.
With turbo-nebulization@50micron, the particles wet surfaces very little, leaving them only slightly damp for a few minutes. In this way, the product is able to act for as long as it takes to perform its sanitizing action in all points.
Santoemma patented Foamtec system is able to clean and sanitize restrooms by spraying a compact foam, rinsing all surfaces and vacuuming the floor, using a single machine.
The compact foam of Foamtec models ensures prolonged contact time of the chemical on surfaces and incorporates more dirt. It is therefore particularly effective even in very dirty environments.
The cleaning process is carried out through four stages:

Moreover, by adding a special Santoemma device, it is possible to deliver a sanitizing chemical in the form of 7 micron dry fog. The dry fog is delivered for a time sufficient to completely fill the rooms and then left to act for a few minutes after saturation in order to exercise its sanitizing action. This type of dry fog allows you to reach every point, without wetting the surfaces. The machine can be left inside the room to be treated. Alternatively, you can leave the machine out of the room, placing inside only the chemical tank.
The IdroFoamRinse models are innovative machines, patented by Santoemma, allowing you to spray compact foam and rinse continuously. The water used for foaming and rinsing is directly taken from the water network, therefore the machines have an unlimited autonomy. Pure chemical is contained in its separate tank, and it is automatically used by the machine in a controlled quantity.
The IdroFoamRinse models are suitable for cleaning all areas where
the presence of a drain in the floor makes vacuum cleaning unnecessary, such as
toilets, showers, steam rooms and saunas in

Moreover, by adding
a special Santoemma device, it is possible to deliver a sanitizing chemical in the form of 7 micron dry fog.
The dry fog is delivered for a time sufficient to completely fill the
rooms and then left to act for a few minutes after saturation in order to exercise its
sanitizing action. This type of dry fog allows you to reach every point,
without wetting the surfaces. The machine can be left
inside the room to be treated. Alternatively, you can leave the machine
out of the room, placing inside only the chemical tank.
Santoemma's patented systems are the best solution to
help operators in cleaning and sanitizing toilets, offering several advantages:
Better cleaning and sanitizing result: foam does not immediately fall onto the floor, but stays on the surfaces
where it has been sprayed for some minutes. This ensures both the
cleaning and sanitizing action. Laboratory
tests certify that using the machine with specific chemicals allows you
to kill 99,9% of bacteria.
Visual effect of foam: foam covers in white all the surfaces where it is sprayed such as walls, sinks, sanitary fixtures. The operator can therefore check that every corner has been covered, for a complete action in every point.
The greatest hygienic safety for the operator, who does not come into contact with the surfaces and the objects to be cleaned and who does not get wet by the bouncing water, because rinsing is done with low pressure.
Reduced labour for the worker: manual work is reduced to a minimum since the dirt is removed by the chemical action of foam and the following rinsing action.
This system, more comfortable and hygienic, gives a greater fulfilment to the operator.
Saving of time: while the chemical acts on the surfaces where it has already been sprayed, the worker is free to operate on other surfaces. Therefore, even a big room can be completely cleaned quickly and with no idle time.
Detergent saving: the chemical is used without waste because it does not immediately fall onto the floor.
Reduced power consumption: the machines require little electrical power and therefore they can be used in any place.
Reduced water consumption: both systems, rinsing at low pressure, require a minimal quantity of water. This avoids the flood of rooms, allows a longer working autonomy and offers the immediate availability of the rooms that have been cleaned.
The machines can be used also in places with no drains because they can completely vacuum the water.
